CDSA Level 1
A comprehensive assessment of the microbiological environment of the gut. It includes Macroscopy, Microscopy description, Bacteriology, Mycology (yeasts) and Parasitology. This test reports on pathogenic and imbalanced colonising organisms, as well as identifying the levels of beneficial flora. The level 1 assessment is a cost effective option and can be requested when you suspect a gut infection or want to confirm/exclude dysbiosis. 264 NZD Complete Microbiome Mapping (CMM)
Designed to assess a patient’s microbiome from a single stool sample, with particular attention to microbes that cause disease or that disrupt normal microbial balance and contribute to perturbations in the GI flora and contribute to illness. The panel is a comprehensive collection of microbial targets as well as immune and digestive markers. It screens for pathogenic bacteria, commensal bacteria, opportunistic pathogens, fungi, viruses, and parasites. 662 NZD Microbiomix Metagenomic Mapping (MMM)
This mapping utilises metagenomic sequencing (shotgun). The term shotgun is deployed in reference to the unbiased and random sequencing of all of the genetic information contained within the provided stool sample. Thus allowing for a picture of the full diversity of the microbiome. For gut health, diversity is key. MMM includes DNA from bacteria, fungi, viruses and other microorganisms. This new form of mapping covers off 28,000 microbial species. It also reports on biochemical markers relating to digestion, inflammation and intestinal permeability. Shotgun Metagenomics is our preferred tool for stool analysis and microbiome reporting. $828 NZD |

Oral Microbiome
Links between our oral health and our overall health have been known for some time. As the second most diverse microbiome in the body, more research is now pointing to the oral microbiome and its links to adverse health outcomes. These links include many inflammatory conditions that affect neurological health, joint health, cardiovascular health, immune health and metabolic conditions such as diabetes and obesity. The effects of a poor oral microbiome also has localised effects such as inflammatory conditions of the gums and dental caries. Quantitative PCR technology is used to accurately measure and quantify the oral microbiome. $290.50 NZD |

Vaginal Microbiome
The vagina is home to a complex ecosystem of organisms that may include bacteria, viruses, parasites and yeasts. Some of these organisms are important in keeping us healthy as they act to discourage other potential pathogens from thriving. Disruptions in balance of any of these can lead to infections and/or uncomfortable symptoms. Every vaginal microbiome is different and factors such as age, hormonal disruptions and even antibiotic/probiotic use can contribute to changes. Using PCR analysis, the vaginal microbiome. Collection: Vaginal swab $340 NZD |
